Conrad Bühlmayer (Conrad Bühlmayer the Younger, born August 18, 1835 in Vienna , † November 30, 1883 ibid) was an Austrian landscape and animal painter and etcher .

Life

Born as the son of the art collector Conrad Bühlmayer the Elder, Bühlmayer studied from 1850 to 1855 at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Joseph Höger and continued his studies in Düsseldorf as a private student of Hans Fredrik Gude and in Zurich with Rudolf Koller .

In 1857/1858 Bühlmayer was a member of the Düsseldorf artist association Malkasten . In 1861 he became a member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus . Bühlmayer exhibited his pictures in Vienna, German cities and at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1878 .

His works can be found in the collections of the Picture Gallery of the Vienna Academy, the Austrian Gallery Belvedere and the Albertina .

In 1884 his collection was auctioned at HO Miethke in Vienna.
