Conrad Dürr (also Konrad Dürr ; * December 18, 1907 , † March 8, 1999 ) was a German motorcycle racer .

Dürr denied 1929-1937 as a private driver on a 500 and a 1000 cm³ - standard solo and side car race at Sandbahn- , ice , mountain and racetrack events .

Some of his sporting successes included victories at the Ratisbona hill climb in 1931 and 1933, at the Klausen race in 1931 and 1932, at the ice race on the Titisee in 1933 and at the Gabelbach race in 1933, each with a 500 cm³ standard team.

In 1932 Conrad Dürr took over the 1000 standard from Hermann Lang , who switched to racing cars at Mercedes-Benz . Not all successes can be proven, but there are still photos of the comparison race on the Eibsee in 1932/33 with Ernst Udet in his Flamingo plane, Bernd Rosemeyer in the Auto Union racing car and Conrad Dürr with his standard team.

During these years he was also one of the most successful German drivers in Switzerland . His standard combination is now equipped with a 1000 JAP engine with a liter output of 90  hp . His successes include winning the listed Grand Prix of Switzerland in Bern (and the fastest lap), the victory in April 1933 at the Grand Prix of the sample fair in Basel , the victory in July at the mountain race on Weissenstein / Solothurn (with the fastest time of all teams and new record), victory in the hill climb Ciona - Paradiso / Lugano .

In 1934 he and the well-known Swiss champion driver Hans Starke founded the Starke / Dürr racing community.

Conrad Dürr set 22 records in just a few years and achieved twelve daily best times with the team. He was also an avid solo rider with a 250cc Moto Guzzi , a 500cc Norton and of course with his 1000cc standard when it came to racing and winning one of the popular Swiss kilometer lancèes.

At the Feldberg race in Taunus in 1934, the Conrad Dürr / Heiner Frey team came second in the 1000 cc class behind the Tornax duo Karl Braun / Erwin Badschig.
