Conrad Rethwisch

Conrad Rethwisch (born August 31, 1845 in Berlin ; † May 17, 1921 there ) was a German historian and schoolboy.

Life

He studied philology and history in Bonn , Göttingen and Berlin and particularly followed Georg Waitz , under whom he obtained the philosophical doctorate in 1868. During his studies in Göttingen he became a member of the Brunsviga fraternity in 1865 . From 1869 he was a teacher and from 1883 senior teacher at the Wilhelms-Gymnasium in Berlin, later director of the Kaiserin-Augusta-Gymnasium .
