Constantin Grecu (born June 8, 1988 in Craiova ) is a Romanian football player . The full-back has been without a club since the beginning of 2018.

Career

Grecu started playing soccer in Gheorghe Popescu's soccer school in 1995 . In 2007 he moved to Energia Rovinari in Liga III , before first division Pandurii Târgu Jiu signed him at the beginning of 2008 . There he came only to a few missions, so that he was loaned to CSM Râmnicu Vâlcea in the Liga II in the summer of 2008 for half a year . After his return, the stakes increased, in the 2009/10 season he finally became a regular.

In the summer of 2011 Grecu left Târgu Jiu and switched to league rivals Universitatea Cluj . After he was not used there in the entire second half of 2011/12 , he joined Petrolul Ploieşti in the summer of 2012 . Here, too, it was rarely used. He saw his club's cup win from the bench. He then moved to Dinamo Bucharest . His contract was terminated at the beginning of 2015. Shortly afterwards, he hired league rival Pandurii Târgu Jiu. There he first came into play at the end of the 2014/15 season . He also experienced the 2015/16 preliminary round mostly from the bench. Only in the championship round he was more often in the starting lineup of coach Eduard Iordănescu . It was only under Petre Grigoraș that he was used regularly in the 2016/17 season . At the end of 2016, he terminated his contract with Pandurii. After half a year without commitment, he joined the promoted Sepsi OSK Sfântu Gheorghe . He stayed there until the end of 2017 and has been without a club since then.

National team

In early 2012 Grecu was invited by national coach Victor Pițurcă for a friendly game of the Romanian national team against Turkmenistan and used on January 27, 2012 over the full season. For the subsequent game against Uruguay on February 29, 2012, he was nominated by Pițurcă, but not used.
