The Copa Centroamericana 2017 ( English Central American Cup 2017 ) was the 14th game of the Central American Football Championship and took place in Panama from January 13th to 22nd, 2017 . Since Guatemala was suspended by FIFA and was therefore not allowed to take part in international competitions, the tournament was, in contrast to previous years, played as a round-robin tournament with six participants. All games took place at the Estadio Rommel Fernández in Panama City .

The winner was Honduras for the fourth time .

Qualification for the Gold Cup

The Copa Centroamericana 2017 also served as qualification for the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2017 . The first four teams qualified directly, the fifth-placed played two play-off games against the fifth-placed from qualifying for the 2017 Caribbean Championship . There Nicaragua prevailed against the Caribbean representative Haiti . The first leg was played on March 24 and the second leg on March 28, 2017.
