Kotzenaurach is a district of the Markt Erlbach market in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The Middle Aurach flows through the village . The forest area Baumgarten borders in the northeast , about 0.25 km southeast lies the Pfaffenholz . Approx. 0.5 km southwest lie the narrow notch , Hammer Buck and Zedergründlein . Communal roads lead to Mosbach (1.1 km northwest), to Kappersberg (1.2 km south), to Buchklingen to the district road NEA 24 (2.4 km north-west) and to the state road 2244 near Neidhardswinden (2.2 km east). A service road leads to the wood mill (1 km northeast).

history

The place was first mentioned by name in the fief book of the Hochstift Würzburg as "Kotzenurach". This records that Bishop Andreas von Gundelfingen (1303-13) gave a mill and a Hube to Walther von Seckendorf as a fief there. 1311 via suitable Burggraf Friedrich IV. The monastery Heilsbronn a Novalzehnten in "Puke Urach". The monastery subsequently acquired a total of nine estates and 30 acres of community forest there. In 1575 it was noted in the Salbuch of the Wilhermsdorf rule that Kotzenaurach had become a desert. The place was only rebuilt in the second half of the 17th century. Until the 1850s the place was called "Kurzenauarach".

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 20 properties in Kotzenaurach (2 mills, 1 forge, 1 yard, 5 estates, 7 houses, 4 small houses). The high court and the village and community rulership exercised the rule Wilhermsdorf. All properties had the Buchklingen manor as landlord .

In 1810 Kotzenaurach came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the parish edict, it was assigned to the Buchklingen tax district formed in 1811 . The place was a real community until 1815, then belonged to the rural community Buchklingen and was subject to the Wilhermsdorf court until 1818 . On November 9, 1824, the Rural Municipality Kotzenaurach was formed, in which the former rural community Kappersberg with Knochenhof and brick cottage has been integrated. She was in administration and jurisdiction of the district court Erlbach and in the financial administration of the bursary Ipsheim or Rentamt Neustadt . However, the Wilhermsdorf Patrimonial Court held voluntary jurisdiction and the police until 1839. From 1862 Kotzenaurach was administered by the Neustadt an der Aisch district office (renamed Neustadt an der Aisch district in 1938 ) and from 1856 by the Markt Erlbach rent office (1920–1929: Markt Erlbach tax office , from 1929: Neustadt an der Aisch tax office ). The jurisdiction remained until 1879 with the district court of Markt Erlbach, 1880–1959 district court of Markt Erlbach , from 1959 district court of Fürth . The municipality had an area of ​​2.924 km².

On June 1, 1968, before the regional reform in Bavaria , Kotzenaurach was incorporated into Markt Erlbach.

  • House No. 3: Originally a single-storey residential stable , in the lintel J (ohann) F (riedrich) M (üller) 1824 . Rebuilt by myself according to the painted inscription in the transverse gable . / Mayer / 1912 . Ashlar plinth, profiled wooden eaves cornice on the stable part.
  • House No. 8: Single-storey pitched roof house, in the lintel 18 F (?) B (ischof) 22 . Three attic floors, belt straps, rectangular base with arched cellar windows, profiled wooden eaves cornice. Front door irregularly divided into two, three fields, doubled.
  • Barn on the Middle Aurach: 1897. Rectangular construction with half-timbered gable. On the broad side two arched gates with a rectangular window above, the lintel of the southern one marked with 18 FPP 97 .
