Morbach is a district of the Markt Erlbach market in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district in Middle Franconia .
geography
The hamlet is located on the Middle Aurach and the Morbach, which flows into the Middle Aurach as a left tributary. To the west of the village is the Leiten corridor , approx. 0.25 km to the east the Hornberg rises, and approx. 1 km to the northwest is the Viersternwald . A community road leads to Mettelaurach (1.2 km southwest) or Losaurach (0.9 km northeast), another community road leads to Buchen (0.8 km southeast).
history
The place was first mentioned by name in 1402 as "Marbach".
Towards the end of the 18th century there were 2 properties in Morbach (1 mill, 1 courtyard). The high court was exercised by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth city bailiff Neustadt an der Aisch . The municipality of Markt Erlbach held the village and community rulership and the land lordship over both properties .
As part of the municipal edict, Morbach was assigned to the Linden tax district formed in 1811 . It belonged to the rural community of Buchen, founded in 1813 . On June 1, 1968, before the regional reform in Bavaria , Morbach was incorporated into Markt Erlbach.
