Häringsmühle is a district of the Markt Erlbach market in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The village is located on the Eschenbach, a left tributary of the Zenn . Approx. 0.5 km northeast of the village is the small hole corridor area . A community road leads to Eschenbach to State Road 2252 (0.9 km northwest) or State Road 2413 near Adelsdorf (0.8 km southeast).

history

The place was first mentioned by name in 1614 as "Heringsmühl".

Towards the end of the 18th century, the Häringsmühle belonged to Eschenbach. The mill had the Brandenburg-Bayreuth caste office Neuhof as landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792-1806) of the Principality of Bayreuth, the Häringsmühle was given house number 32 in the village of Eschenbach.

As part of the community edict, Häringsmühle was assigned to the Markt Erlbach tax district formed in 1811 . It belonged to the rural community Eschenbach, founded in 1813 . On January 1, 1972, Häringsmühle was incorporated into Markt Erlbach as part of the regional reform .

The place has been mostly Protestant since the Reformation. The residents of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination are parish to St. Kilian (Markt Erlbach) , the residents of the Roman Catholic denomination are parish to St. Michael (Wilhermsdorf) .
