Hagenhofen is a district of the Markt Erlbach market in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The Pilsenbach, a left tributary of the Selingsbach, which in turn is a left tributary of the Zenn , flows through the village . The Brand forest area borders in the southwest, the Breitenlohe forest area approx. 0.75 km to the west , and the Hart and Vogelsang forest areas approx. 1 km to the northwest . Municipal roads lead to Altselingsbach (1.7 km south), to Markt Erlbach to state road 2255 (1.6 km east) and to state road 2252 near Linden (2.3 km north-west).

history

The place is mentioned by name for the first time in 1255 as "Hagenhouen" in a document in which Albert von Hohenlohe gave the Heilsbronn monastery a . a. wanted to pay compensation in Hagenhofen. In the following period two more properties came to the monastery.

At the end of the 18th century there were 14 properties in Hagenhofen. The high court and the rulership of the village and community was exercised by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth municipal bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach . The landlords were the Stadtvogteiamt Markt Erlbach (2 courtyards, 2 half courtyards, 4 farms, 1 mill), the Kastenamt Neuhof (1 courtyard, 2 goods, 1 estate) and the Kastenamt Ipsheim (1 courtyard).

As part of the municipal edict, Hagenhofen was assigned to the Linden tax district formed in 1811 . It belonged to the rural community Altselingsbach, founded in 1813 . On January 1, 1970, before the regional reform in Bavaria , Hagenhofen was incorporated into Markt Erlbach.

Architectural monuments

  • House No. 3: Single-storey residential stable house, half-timbered with K-struts. In the residential part, the lower of the three attic floors was subsequently expanded. The northeast corner post is marked ARH / 1740.
  • House No. 7: Two-storey hipped roof house from the end of the 18th century. Constructive half-timbered structure, solid at the back. 6 to 3 windows, wide front door with skylight, profiled wooden eaves.

The place has been mostly Protestant since the Reformation. The residents of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination are parish to St. Kilian (Markt Erlbach) , the residents of the Roman Catholic denomination are parish to St. Michael (Wilhermsdorf) .
