history

The place was first mentioned by name in 1253 as "Sytelbach". 1254 sold the mayor Heitvolkus of Nuremberg to the Heilsbronn monastery a slope from his estate in Siedelbach. The monastery acquired a total of three properties there, all of which were deserted during the Thirty Years' War .

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 10 properties in Siedelbach. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth municipal bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach . The village and township government had the box office Neuhof held. The landlords were the Kastenamt Neuhof (1 blacksmith's shop, 3 courtyards, 1 half-yard, 2 estates), the Wilhermsdorf estate (2 estates) and the Nuremberg owner von Zeltner (1 estate).

In 1810 Siedelbach came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, it was assigned to the Markt Erlbach tax district formed in 1811 . In 1813 the rural community Eschenbach was formed, to which Siedelbach also belonged. In 1817/18 the whole place was under the jurisdiction of Wilhermsdorf . With the second community edict (1818), Siedelbach became an independent rural community. It was subordinate to the regional court of Markt Erlbach in administration and jurisdiction and to the Ipsheim Rent Office in the financial administration . Until 1839, three properties were subject to the Wilhermsdorf patrimonial court. On September 14, 1824, Blümleinsmühle , Haidt , Kemmathen , Mittel- and Wolfsmühle were reassigned from Eschenbach to Siedelbach. From 1862 Siedelbach was administered by the Neustadt an der Aisch district office (renamed Neustadt an der Aisch district in 1938 ) and from 1856 by the Markt Erlbach rent office (1920–1929: Markt Erlbach tax office , from 1929: Fürth tax office ). The jurisdiction remained until 1879 with the district court of Markt Erlbach, 1880–1959 district court of Markt Erlbach , from 1959 district court of Fürth . The municipality had an area of 7.425 km².

On January 1, 1972, the community of Siedelbach was dissolved as part of the regional reform: The Wolfsmühle was incorporated into Wilhermsdorf , the other districts to Markt Erlbach.
