history

The place was first mentioned by name in 1360 as "Lobsaurach". In 1399 the place was called "Laubsaurach", in 1464 "Lwchsawrach". At that time the place belonged to the office market Erlbach. In 1669 the place was called "Lußaurach". This note shows that the place was completely burned down during the Thirty Years War .

At the end of the 18th century there were 10 properties in Losaurach. The Herrneuses manor exercised the high court and the village and community rulership . The landlords were the Herrnneuses manor (4 estates, 1 mill), the Markt Erlbach municipal bailiff ( 2 estates, 1 house), the Münchaurach monastery (1 estate) and the city of Neustadt (1 estate).

In 1810 Losaurach came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, it was assigned to the tax district of Herrnneuse , which was formed in 1811 . It also belonged to the rural community of Herrnneuses formed in 1813 . With the second community edict (1818), Losaurach and Mosbach formed a separate rural community. This was subordinate to the regional court Neustadt an der Aisch in administration and jurisdiction and in the financial administration to the Rentamt Neustadt an der Aisch (renamed in 1920 to Finanzamt Neustadt an der Aisch ). From 1862 Losaurach was administered by the Neustadt an der Aisch district office (renamed the Neustadt an der Aisch district in 1938 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court Neustadt an der Aisch until 1879, from 1880 with the district court Neustadt an der Aisch . The municipality had an area of 5.546 km².

On January 1, 1970, before the regional reform in Bavaria , Losaurach was incorporated into Markt Erlbach.
