history

The place is 1464 "Bw in Margravial Salbuch as e chen" first mentioned by name.

At the end of the 18th century there were 7 properties in Buchen. The high court and the rulership of the village and community was exercised by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth municipal bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach . The landlords were the municipal bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach (4 half-yards, 1 small farm) and the Münchaurach monastery (1 small farm, 1 house).

In 1810 Buchen came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the community edict , it was assigned to the Linden tax district formed in 1811 . In 1813 the rural community of Buchen was formed, to which Fallhaus , Mettelaurach , Morbach and Oberulsenbach belonged. It was subordinate to the regional court of Markt Erlbach in administration and jurisdiction and to the Ipsheim Rent Office in the financial administration . With the second community edict (1818), Mettelaurach was re-incorporated into the newly formed rural community of Klausaurach . From 1862, Buchen was administered by the Neustadt an der Aisch district office (renamed Neustadt an der Aisch district in 1938 ) and from 1856 by the Markt Erlbach rent office (1920–1929: Markt Erlbach tax office , from 1929: Neustadt an der Aisch tax office ). The jurisdiction remained until 1879 with the district court of Markt Erlbach, 1880–1959 district court of Markt Erlbach , from 1959 district court of Fürth . The municipality had an area of 4.186 km².

On June 1, 1968, before the regional reform in Bavaria , Buchen was incorporated into Markt Erlbach.
