Landgrove is a town in Bennington County , Vermont in the United States with 158 inhabitants (according to the 2010 census).

Geographical location
Landgrove is located in northeast Bennington County, in the Green Mountains at an altitude of 464 m. There are only a few small rivers in the town. The largest is Utley Brook , which flows eastwards . Some small lakes can be found in the north of the town. The area is hilly without any significant elevations.

history
The Grant for Landgrove was proclaimed on November 6, 1780 and awarded on November 8, 1780 to William Utley and others. The area was settled in 1769 by William Utley, who settled there with his wife and six children. He actually had a grant for land in the town of Peru. He made his way there and settled on a branch of the West River . When he realized that the country he was colonizing no longer belonged to Peru, he asked for the grant for the area and got it. The town's constituent assembly took place in 1800.

There is only one major road that reaches Landgrove. The Vermont State Route 11 crosses the town from west to east and connects Landgrove the west with Peru and to the east with Londonderry.

Langrove, along with Danby, Dorset, Londonderry, Manchester, Mt. Tabor, Pawlet, Peru, Rupert, Sunderland, Weston and Winhall, is part of the Bennington-Rutland Supervisory Union . There is no school in Landgrove. The closest school is the Flood Brook Union School in Londonderry.
