history

The place is first mentioned by name in 1739 as "Knockenhof". From 1867 the official name of the place is "Bone Courtyard".

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 4 properties (2 estates, 2 semi-estates) in bone yard. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth municipal bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach . The rulership of Wilhermsdorf held the village and community rulership and the land rulership over all properties .

As part of the community edict, Bonehof was assigned to the Buchklingen tax district formed in 1811 and also belonged to the Buchklingen rural community formed in 1813 . In 1815 it was changed to the newly founded rural community Kappersberg . It was subordinate to the district court of Markt Erlbach . However, the Wilhermsdorf Patrimonial Court held voluntary jurisdiction and the police until 1839. On November 9, 1824, it was changed to the newly founded municipality of Kotzenaurach .

On June 1, 1968, before the regional reform in Bavaria , Kotzenaurach was incorporated into Markt Erlbach.
