Oberulsenbach is a district of the Markt Erlbach market in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district in Middle Franconia .
geography
The village is located on the Ulsenbach, a left tributary of the Zenn . In the south-east is the Im Lerchenfeld corridor , approx. 0.5 km west of the Höllfeld . Approx. The Hackerschlag forest is 0.5 km to the southwest . The state road 2255 leading to Erlbach (1.5 km south-east) or to Losaurach over after Schellert (4.2 km north-west). A community link road leads to the Ziegelhütte and Knochenhof over after Haidt (1.7 km east), another community link road leading to Kappersberg (1.3 km to the northeast).

The place was first mentioned by name in 1300 as "Vlsenbach".
Towards the end of the 18th century there were 3 properties in Oberulsenbach (1 estate, 1 estate, 1 house). The high court , the village and community rulership and the lordship over all properties was exercised by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth municipal bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach .
As part of the municipal edict, Oberulsenbach was assigned to the Linden tax district formed in 1811 . It belonged to the rural community of Buchen, founded in 1813 . On June 1, 1968, before the regional reform in Bavaria , Oberulsenbach was incorporated into Markt Erlbach.
