Cortina – Dobbiaco Run

The Cortina-Dobbiaco Run is a fun run km 30, in the since 2000 Dolomites takes place.

The route leads from the former Olympic city of Cortina d'Ampezzo on the Long Path of the Dolomites , a cycle path on the former route of the Dolomites Railway, to Toblach . The first part goes steadily uphill to the final ascent to the Cimabanche Pass (Gemärk), where the highest point of the entire route is at 1530 m and the border between the provinces of South Tyrol and Belluno runs. From there it goes slightly downhill, past the famous Dobbiaco view of the Three Peaks , the Dürrensee , the Dobbiaco lake to the park of the Grand Hotel , where the finish of the competition is located.

At the first edition there were 516 runners who had to cover a distance of 31.5 km. After the seventh edition, the racetrack was reduced to exactly 30 km. In 2010, 2810 athletes competed in the race. 849 runners took part in the 11.5 km fun run (start at Dürrensee). There was also a charity run and a children's race.

The former marathon runner Gianni Poli has been the race organizer since the first edition .
