Cosqueville is a village and a former French community with 588 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Manche in the region of Normandy . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Cherbourg and the Canton of Val-de-Saire .

With effect from January 1, 2016, the former municipalities of Gouberville , Cosqueville , Néville-sur-Mer and Réthoville were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Vicq-sur-Mer and have the status of a Commune déléguée there . The administrative headquarters are in Cosqueville.

location

The place is located on the Cotentin peninsula in western France and borders the English Channel in the north . Neighboring towns are Réthoville in the east, Varouville in the southeast, Saint-Pierre-Église in the south, Théville and Carneville in the southwest and Fermanville in the west.
