Costik Iwey (* 19th January 1983 in Kinshasa ) is a German singer and lyricist of the styles of pop , hip-hop and dance . He is also known under the name Mo Bic , also Mobic .

Live and act

He came to Germany in 1992 with his parents from Zaire , today's Democratic Republic of the Congo , and grew up in Lower Saxony . After completing secondary school , he trained as an event manager in Hanover and made up his Abitur on a second educational path .

He had a musical mother, his brother is also a musician. The great idol of his childhood was Michael Jackson . At the age of 16 he began to write his own texts and to rap in German about his everyday life and his grief and anger .

In 2003 he founded the band Afrokalypse with James Njuguna and Engo Iwey and gained his first stage experience at concerts in youth clubs. In 2007 the band broke up. Since then he has appeared as a solo artist. In 2011 he won the newcomer competition at The Dome 60 and was allowed to open the show. In 2012 he joined the VOX telecast rental, purchase, live on.

In 2013 he released his debut album Mein Blickwinkel and the music video for the song It contained, The appearance is deceptive . It is once again about everyday issues and the story of his life, which he describes with more hopeful texts compared to earlier. He produces his pieces electronically with changing musicians.
