from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 1994 County Championship was the 96th season of the national first-class cricket competition in England and Wales . The County Championship winner was Warwickshire , making it their fourth county championship.

format

In a division, each team played one game against each other. A team received 16 points for a win and 8 points for a draw (both teams achieve the same number of runs ). If no result is achieved and the game ends in a draw, both teams receive no points. In addition, there is the possibility of collecting bonus points in the first 130 overs of the first inning . Up to 5 points are awarded for runs and up to 3 points for wickets. Furthermore, it is possible that teams are deducted points if, for example, they play too slowly or the pitch is not properly prepared. At the end of the season, the winner is the Division County Champion.
