Crash Dive is an American action film from 1997. The main role of James Carter is played by actor Michael Dudikoff . With the hijacking of a nuclear submarine and the intervention of a brave sailor, Crash Dive is very similar to Andrew Davis's 1992 film Alert: Red .
action
James Carter is a data and submarine specialist who quit his job with the US Navy a long time ago. The USS Ulysses, a (fictional) nuclear-powered attack submarine, patrols the northern South Atlantic. Suddenly they discover five men who have had an accident on the radio radar, the only ones who survived a shipwreck. Because the commander cannot see their suffering out there, and because there is no other ship nearby, they take the crashed team into their home. But they quickly realize that this was all just a trap. Because Richter, the leader of the team, kills the captain of the submarine and takes control. Judge calls for 100 million dollars in gold bars, or incinerate with that are available on board nuclear missiles Washington, DC one. Admiral Pendleton refuses to pay that amount. Instead, he tries to get in touch with his former best man. He can persuade him to board the USS Ulysses and take up the fight against the terrorists . Carter sets off with a small submarine. Finally he discovers the Ulysses and goes on board. Richter quickly realizes that someone has come on board who knows the USS Ulysses by heart. He sends his men to hunt down the intruder. Carter gets into increasingly fierce battles and doesn't have much time to save the lives of over 600,000 people.
Reviews
"In order to distract attention from the unbelievable story, acts of violence and killing quickly move into the center of the plot, which even offers space for some sex scenes."
continuation
In 1999 the sequel to this action thriller came out: Crash Dive II . It is also about a submarine. The main role of James Carter was again played by Michael Dudikoff.
