Crazy is a 1990 song written by Seal and written by Guy Sigsworth . It appeared on the Seal album .

history

Seal was inspired for the song Crazy by the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Tian'anmen massacre in 1990 . In a 2015 interview, Seal said: “I felt like I was at the peak of a cycle. I felt that the world has changed and profound things are happening. "

When Trevor Horn produced the song, the procedure lasted two months. "Crazy wasn't easy to record because it's a demanding song."

It was released on November 26, 1990, and the electronica , soul , funk and pop song became a number one hit in Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Sweden . Seal won a silver record for sales of 200,000 copies and later won the 1992 Ivor Novello Award in the songwriting category. Crazy appeared in the series Baywatch - The Lifeguards of Malibu and Cold Case - No Victim Is Ever Forgotten and the movie Jim Carroll - In the Streets of New York . The song was also the theme song of the series Murder One .
