Crisantemi per un branco di carogne is a spaghetti western from 1968. A German-language premiere could not be detected, although a title exists: dead do not need dollars . There also no longer seems to be an Italian copy.

action

An outlaw with his gang kidnaps the bride from the middle of the wedding ceremony and takes her to a monastery. There he wants to force one of the padres to marry him off to the girl. This not only refuses, but pursues the gang as they move on, can witness some calamities and prevent others by slowly decimating the group. Finally, he can also free the bride from the hands of the last remaining ones.

Remarks

Raoul interprets the film song La ballata delle carogne .

There is no entry for the film in the Archivio del Cinema Italiano . Like so many works by the director Pastore, it was only shown and awarded in a very limited regional context. Pastore has been producing with his company Mezzogiorno Nuovo d'Italia since 1968 - the year this film was released - and almost always with his wife Giovanna Lenzi.

The soundtrack was released on CD by "Beat Records" in small editions.
