Cristian Jakob Krapf
Cristian Jakob Krapf ( Port. Cristiano Jakob Krapf ; born September 12, 1936 in Bernhardzell , Switzerland ) is a Swiss clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Jequié .
Life
Cristian Jakob Krapf was ordained priest for the diocese of Ilhéus on March 15, 1964 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him on November 7, 1978 as the first bishop of the Diocese of Jequié, established on the same date. The Archbishop of São Salvador da Bahia , Avelar Cardinal Brandão Vilela , donated him episcopal ordination on January 7, 1979; Co- consecrators were Valfredo Bernardo Tepe OFM , Bishop of Ilhéus, and Alair Vilar Fernandes de Melo , Bishop of Amargosa . In accordance with the standard age limit of 75 years for bishops, he was relieved of duties with the appointment of his successor on July 4, 2012.
