Curling Continental Cup

The Curling Continental Cup is an annual curling tournament , except in the Olympic season, between teams from North America and the rest of the world. Each team consists of 6 teams (3 women and 3 men). The model is the Ryder Cup for golfers.

Attendees

The World Curling Federation determines the team of the world team. The North American team consists of 4 Canadian teams from the Canadian Curling Association and 2 teams from the United States from the United States Curling Association .

singles

There are six individual encounters (three per gender). The winner receives four points per encounter. In addition, the team with the better total number of points receives eight additional points.

The game has the following point system:

  • 0 points for a missing stone
  • 1 point if the stone remains in play but does not land in the house
  • A higher score depends on where the stone finally lands, up to a maximum of 5 points when the stone lands in the center.
