DJ Mangoo (born November 29, 1983 in Örbyhus , real name Mattias Brånn ), also Matt Brann or Matthias Brann , is a Swedish DJ , music producer and songwriter .

Career

DJ Mangoo started out as a music producer in 1999 and was best known for his single Eurodancer , which was released in 2000. It was one of the first successful MP3 songs and became a pioneer of this distribution method at a time when music downloads were not yet widely available anywhere in the world and very little in Sweden. The song inspired countless unofficial remixes and bootlegs .

In 2004 he wrote the song Freak Out for Avril Lavigne's album Under My Skin .

From 2007 to 2010 Brann worked as a producer and songwriter for Paolo Meneguzzi and worked on the three albums Musica , Corro via and Miami , which were successful in the respective charts in Italy and Switzerland. Meneguzzi also took part in the 2007 Sanremo Festival and the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest with songs he produced .

In the 2010s Brann mainly produced songs for the annual Russ events in Scandinavia.

In August 2019, Play was released , a remake of Magoo's song Eurodancer from 2000, produced by K-391 , Alan Walker and Martin Tungevaag .
