The Dachsberg is a mountain in the north-western Odenwald, approx. 2.7 km east of Darmstadt . The 194.6 m high mountain in the Darmstadt forest area is heavily forested. Approx. 1.0 km north of the Dachsberg is the Hitzberg , approx. 1.5 km northeast of the Prince of Hesse pit and south of the Scheftheimer Wiesen nature reserve with the Ruthsenbach . Approx. 1.2 km west of the Dachsberg is the Woogsberg .

etymology
To Old High German and Middle High German dahs with the meaning " badger ". The name Dachsberg refers to the preferred locations and structures of the roof.
