The roof street , named after the Baroque poet Simon Dach (1605-1659) is a street in the Munich district Pasing in the late 1890s as part of the development of forest colony Pasing was created.
history
Dachstraße (named after the poet Simon Dach ), originally called Parkstraße, connects Am Stadtpark with Paosostraße and crosses Stapferstraße, Wilhelm-Hey-Straße, Balticusstraße, Maria-Eich-Straße and Falkweg.
The road was first in 1900 only at its beginning with villas in the country-style built by the builder Gottfried Schweisgut. The development was completed in the course of the 20th century.
Known residents
The painter Julius Victor Carstens (1849–1908) lived in house no. 37 and in 1902 he had the studio extension, which was changed in 1961, built.
The Protestant pastor Georg Rückert founded the boarding school "Collegium Augustinum" at 19 Dachstrasse, which was inaugurated in 1955. Rückert worked there as a teacher and home manager.
