The Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab region ( Arabic الداخلة - وادي الذهب) is one of the 12 regions of Morocco that were newly created after an administrative reform in 2015 and is located on the territory of the Moroccan-occupied Western Sahara in the extreme south of the kingdom. The capital of the region is the city of Dakhla .

Around 143,000 people (mostly of Berber or nomadic descent) live in Morocco's largest region in terms of area, with approx. 142,000 km² . Approx. 23,000 people live in rural areas ( communes rurales ), around 110,000 people live in cities ( municipalités ) - mainly in Dakhla.
