Dana Čechová

Dana Čechová , b. Hadačová (born September 3, 1983 in Hodonín , South Moravian Region , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech table tennis player . From 2007 to 2016 she played for Hassia Bingen (since 2011 TTG Bingen / Münster-Sarmsheim ) in the German table tennis Bundesliga . Her greatest success was winning the bronze medal with the team at the 2009 European Table Tennis Championships .

Career

Dana Hadačová was successful in table tennis even in her youth. She won singles and doubles titles at Czech junior championships, as a long-time national youth player she took part twice in Junior Europe TOP 12 and in 2000 she won the Slovenia Open. In the 2004/2005 season she moved from the Start Horní Suchá club to Germany to the then second division Homberger TS and made it straight to the Bundesliga. Immediately thereafter, she moved back to the second division at Hannover 96 . Here, too, she made direct promotion in her first year 2005/2006. But it didn't last long at Hanover either and in 2007 she moved back to the second division to Hassia Bingen. There she developed into the top player in the 2nd Bundesliga over the next few years.

In early 2008, she took part in her first world championships in Guangzhou . In the same year she also won her first Czech championship title among seniors. By making it to the round of 16 at the Olympic qualification tournament in Budapest , she made the jump to the Summer Olympics, completely surprising for many . There she retired after good performances in the second round 3: 4 against Georgina Póta from Hungary . At the end of the year she also took part in her first European Championships in Saint Petersburg . At the 2012 Summer Olympics , she was eliminated in the first round.

The good performances continued in the next season 2008/2009. As the best single player in the 2nd Bundesliga South (28: 2 games in the front pair cross), she made it to the 1st Bundesliga with Hassia Bingen as the unbeaten champion. At the European Championships in 2009 she achieved her greatest success to date. With the team she was able to win the bronze medal, especially because of her strong performances. In the individual competition she also showed appealing performances when she made it to the round of 16.

In September 2012 she married the German table tennis player Roman Cech ( Czech: Čech ). She lives with him in Pilsen and runs a sports studio there. You have a daughter. At the end of the 2015/16 season she left Bingen and returned to MK Reznovice.
