The first German DVD release was on October 16 (as a rental DVD) or October 31, 2008. A Blu-ray evaluation took place on November 28, 2008.
action
In an unspecified small town in the United States, there's a lavish nighttime prom , the premier event for local youth, about to be held . Preparations are in full swing.
Regardless of this, a cemetery attendant is secretly struggling with the returning dead. The deceased, contaminated with toxic waste water from an adjacent power station, return as so-called zombies. The swift action of the gravedigger has prevented a catastrophe of unimagined proportions.
When all the young people gather at the school on the evening of the party, the dead rise en masse from their graves in the nearby cemetery; watched by the members of the school's "sci-fi club" and a student representative along with an intrusive companion. The young people present are attacked immediately, a member of the club and the companion of the student representative Lindsey die in the attack. The survivors flee in panic. The different characters quickly come together. The small troop are later joined by outsiders Jimmy and the notorious thug Kyle. Together you take up the fight against the undead.
The zombies meanwhile overrun the city and decimate its inhabitants drastically. The group around Jimmy and Lindsey tries to warn the students. Unfortunately, they are late. The invited guests of the dance ball are already victims of the aggressive monsters. With the help of the well-equipped sports teacher Keel, a gun fanatic, you finally come up with a plan to eliminate the zombies in a huge explosion . Several explosive charges are attached and ultimately detonated with the help of Jimmy and three young rockers who keep the beasts from eating with their music.
