Daniel Doré (born April 9, 1970 in Ferme-Neuve , Québec ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player who played for the Québec Nordiques in the National Hockey League during his active career . He also played as a professional inline hockey player in the North American Roller Hockey International .

Career

Doré began his professional career in adolescence with the L'Outaouais Frontaliers in the QAAA , for which he was on the ice from 1985 to 1986. He then came to the Drummondville Voltigeurs in the Québec Major Junior Hockey League . There he was able to establish himself as a regular and in his debut season already scored over 60 points . In the two following seasons he increased his points, but was also in the penalty box for over 200 minutes. At the NHL Entry Draft in 1988 he was selected in the first round in fifth position by the Québec Nordiques . In the training camp of the Nordiques he did not know how to convince and was sent to the QMJHL to the Chicoutimi Saguenéens for the 1989/90 season . That same season he was recalled to the Nordiques and made his debut in the National Hockey League .

The 1990/91 season he spent almost entirely with the Halifax Citadels in the American Hockey League and only came to another use for the Québec Nordiques. The following season he only played in the minor league for the Halifax Citadels in the AHL, but was also used for the Greensboro Monarchs in the East Coast Hockey League in six games and scored one goal. On December 14, 1992, he signed a contract as a free agent with the Philadelphia Flyers . The jump into the NHL squad of the Flyers did not succeed, however, instead Doré played in the 1992/93 season for the Hershey Bears . He then came to four missions for the Chatham Wheels in the Colonial Hockey League before ending his career.

As a professional inline hockey player , Doré went on the ice from 1994 to 1996 in Roller Hockey International for the Montréal Roadrunners and Empire State Cobras . He also worked as a trainer for the Montréal Roadrunners in the 1995/96 season.
