Daniel Hofmann (* 1996 ) is a Swiss natural track tobogganist . He has competed in the World Cup as well as World and European Championships since 2011 .

Career

Hofmann's first major international competition was the 2011 World Cup in Umhausen . The athlete from the Grindelwald toboggan and toboggan club was the youngest participant at the age of 14 and in a single-seater came 36th out of 40 rated tobogganers. A week later he competed in the 2011 European Junior Championships in Laas , where he finished 26th out of 29 evaluated tobogganers. Finally, at the end of the 2010/2011 season , he made his debut in the World Cup at the finals in Olang . He finished in 33rd and last place. In the 2011/2012 season Hofmann took part in a World Cup race again: In Železniki he finished 34th, leaving two tobogganists behind him this time. The man from Grindelwald also competed again at international championships. He was ranked 23rd out of 27 at the 2012 Junior World Championships in Latsch and 27th out of 31 rated sledders at the 2012 European Championships in Novouralsk .
