Daniel Kaiser (born September 23, 1986 in Leipzig ) is a German vaulting artist , sports photographer and journalist.

Career

His career highlight so far was winning the FEI World Cup finals in March 2016 in Dortmund with his horse Down Under LR on Nina Vorberg's lunge. Other successes include the bronze medal at the 2008 World Championships in Brno, Czech Republic, and bronze at the 2009 European Championships in Bökeberg (Sweden), both with the horse Merkur . Kaiser is trained by his home trainer Nicole Oleszak and co-national trainer Kai Vorberg .

Together with Peter Höppner from Düsseldorf, Daniel Kaiser developed the gallop jump of the galloping wooden horse Movie and the vaulting training device Handstand Swing.

Kaiser is the inventor and leader of the Tra-Volta show troupe, a combination of vaulting, acrobatics / gymnastics and parkour on a Trabant 601S . For this he works together with the Leipzig parkour club Twio X. The show troupe Tra-Volta has appeared at over 30 equestrian events since the premiere at the 2008 Whitsun tournament in Wiesbaden, including the Munich Indoors in Munich 2009, the World Cup final of the vaulters in Graz / AUT 2015 as well as the partner horse in Leipzig 2016.

Daniel Kaiser has been married since 2011 and has two children.
