Daniel Pearl (cameraman)

Daniel C. Pearl (* 1951 in Bronx , New York City ) is an American cameraman .

Life

Daniel C. Pearl graduated from the University of Texas at Austin (UT) in 1973 . He worked as a cameraman for several student films and shot the horror film Blood Court in Texas with Tobe Hooper , who also studied at UT , Pearl's first commercial film as head cameraman. In 1976 he moved to Los Angeles . By the end of the 1980s he made several comedies and horror films such as The Guy with the Crazy Eye , Invasion of Mars and Amazons on the Moon or Why the Americans have the channel full , before temporarily concentrating entirely on making music videos and commercials. Music videos he has photographed include I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That) by Meat Loaf , Every Breath You Take by The Police, and Billie Jean by Michael Jackson .
