Daniel Piñeyro (born July 4, 1989 ) is a Mexican ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Aztec Eagle Warriors in the Liga Mexicana Elite since 2017 .

Career

Piñeyro began his career as a hockey player with the Bosques team in Mexico. From 2004 to 2008 he was active at Galerias Reforma. He later played for the Fundación Deportiva Talaveros Puebla and since 2017 for the Aztec Eagle Warriors in the semi-professional Liga Mexicana Élite .

International

In the junior division, Piñeyro played for Mexico at the U18 World Championships in Division III 2004 and Division II in 2005 , 2006 and 2007 . With the U20 selection of the Central Americans, he was active in the 2005 World Championships in Division III and in 2006 and 2007 in Division II.

With the Mexican men , Piñeyro first took part in the World Championship of Division III in 2005 . After he was promoted there, he played in Division II in 2006 , 2008 , 2016 and 2017. He also took part in the pan-American ice hockey tournament in 2016 and 2017 , in which the Mexicans finished second behind Colombia in 2016 and first in 2017 before Colombia .
