Daniela Löffner
Daniela Löffner (* 1980 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German theater director .
Career
After training as a foreign language teacher in German, Löffner worked as an assistant director at the Freiburg Theater from 2003 . In 2006 she took up an assistant director at the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf ; she followed Amélie Niermeyer , director of Freiburg , who took over as general director of Düsseldorf at the same season. In Düsseldorf, Löffner also delivered his first directorial work, starting with Martin McDonagh's The Pillow Man.
In the seasons 10 / 11-13 / 14, Löffner was in-house director at the Braunschweig State Theater . With her world premiere of Anne Nathers Im Wald there is no appointment at the end of 2009 at the Schauspielhaus Zürich , she was invited to the Autorentheatertage Berlin in 2010; Her Düsseldorf production of Hesse's Demian in its own stage version earned her in 2011 a nomination for the Faust Theater Prize in the category “Direction for children and youth theater”. Children of the Sun (Schauspielhaus Zürich) was invited to the Radikal jung festival in 2013 . In 2014 Löffner was awarded the Kurt Hübner Director's Prize for her work “Children of the Sun” (Schauspielhaus Zurich) and “Der Sturm” (Braunschweig State Theater) . Her production "Fathers and Sons" at the Deutsches Theater Berlin was invited to the 2016 Theatertreffen. Daniela Löffner works a. a. regularly at the Schauspielhaus Zürich, the Deutsches Theater Berlin and the Schauspielhaus Bochum.

Löffner lives with the actor Oliver Simon in Dresden.
