Daniela Thurnherr

Daniela Thurnherr (born October 18, 1972 in Uznach ) is a Swiss lawyer and professor at the University of Basel .

Life

Thurnherr studied law at the University of Zurich from 1992 . She finished her studies in 1998 with summa cum laude . She then worked until 2000 as a research assistant to Walter Haller at the Institute for International Law and Foreign Constitutional Law at the University of Zurich. After research stays at the Collegium Helveticum and at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg , she worked from 2002 to 2004 as a research assistant to Helen Keller at the University of Lucerne . In 2004 Thurnherr received his doctorate in Zurich. iur. She then completed an LL.M degree at Yale Law School , which she completed in 2005 . The following year she was as Attorney at law in New York State approved.

From 2005 to 2007, Thurnherr held teaching positions at the Universities of Lucerne and Zurich. From 2007 to 2013 she was assistant professor at the University of Basel , where she has held the full chair for public law, in particular administrative law and public procedural law, since 2013. Since 2016 she has also been a judge at the appellate court of the canton of Basel-Stadt .

Thurnherr is married and has two children.
