Dariusz Kowaluk gained his first international experience in 2015 when he finished eighth in the Junior European Championships in Eskilstuna in 47.90 seconds and reached fourth place in the Polish 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 10.40 minutes. For two years he reached the semi-finals over 400 meters at the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz, where he was eliminated with 46.74 seconds. In addition, he won the silver medal behind the team from the United Kingdom with the relay in 3: 04.22 min. He then took part with the relay at the Summer Universiade in Taipei , but could not finish the preliminary run there. In 2018 he qualified for the European Championships in Berlin , where he was eliminated in the individual competition with 46.18 seconds in the first round and in the relay he was used in the preliminary stages and helped the Polish team reach the finals. At the 2019 European Indoor Championships in Glasgow , he reached fourth place in the relay in 3: 08.40 minutes and then placed seventh in the B final at the World Relays in Yokohama in 3: 07.95 minutes. At the Student World Games in Naples he was eliminated in the semifinals with 46.77 seconds and won the bronze medal behind the teams from Mexico and South Africa in 3: 03.35 minutes.
