Darja Sjarhejeuna Baryssewitsch ( Belarusian Дар'я Сяргееўна Барысевіч , English transcription Darya Barysevich ; born May 27, 1990 ) is a Belarusian middle-distance runner .

Athletic career

Darja Baryssewitsch gained her first international experience in 2007 at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Belgrade , where she finished fourth in the 1500 meter run in 4: 31.07 minutes. In 2008 she competed at the European Cross Country Championships in Brussels and reached 68th place in the women's junior ranking.

In 2016 she qualified for the European Championships in Amsterdam , but was eliminated there with 4: 14.06 minutes in the preliminary round. The following year she reached the final of the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade and came in seventh with a new personal best of 4: 12.52 minutes. At the IAAF World Relays 2017 in the Bahamas, she achieved the silver medal behind the team from the United States with the Belarusian 4 x 800 meter relay. In 2018 she was eighth over 1500 meters at the European Championships in Berlin in 4: 07.52 minutes and retired in the 800-meter run with 2: 04.65 minutes in the first round.
