Das Schwarze Auge: Blackguards is a strategy role-playing game by the German developer and publisher Daedalic Entertainment . It is a computer game in the fantasy world Aventurien of the role-playing game rules Das Schwarze Auge . It was released on January 24, 2014 for Windows and macOS , and EuroVideo took over distribution in Germany .

Due to the success of Blackguards, Daedalic announced a successor to Blackguards 2 , which was released in early 2015.

action

The action begins in the city of Neetha in the game world Aventurien . The main character is the player character who was wrongly imprisoned for the murder of his girlfriend. On the run from his persecutors and in search of the real murderer, he meets other characters who also have problems with the law. The player has the opportunity to make decisions at important points and thus influence the game.

Gameplay

In Blackguards, the player can assume different classes, such as warrior, magician and hunter. Both the fights and the entire game are turn-based. The game is controlled with the mouse and keyboard . A special feature of the game are the visible hexagonal grid fields.

The Black Eye: Blackguards was first released for Windows and macOS on January 24, 2014. Distribution in Germany was regulated by EuroVideo. The successor to the game, Blackguards 2 , was released on January 20, 2015 for Windows and macOS. The version for Playstation and Xbox One followed on September 15, 2017.
