The Spike: The Soft Artur is a black and white German satirical short feature film from the DEFA studio for feature films by Kurt Jung-Alsen from 1956 .

Artur is promoted to head of department and lets his new secretary connect him on the phone to his bride Gisela, who works as a fashion designer in the same company, in order to meet her. When they meet, she wears a completely out of date dress from her work VEB "Golden Section". Artur now wants to prove to her that such intolerable models will no longer exist under his leadership. After much discussion, his colleagues developed the handsome model "Gisela".

Dispatchers, buyers, chief department heads of the ministry etc. v. a. a lot to complain about. The fabric is too expensive, the material consumption is too high, there is enough of another type of fabric in stock and there are many other reasons. Artur precisely logs every change request and after taking them into account, the model has lost all of its chic. It ends up in the field as a scarecrow.
