action

Bastian is the intelligent photo reporter for the Copenhagen daily newspaper “Look and Hear”. In his private life he is a simple, 1.92 meter tall man with the skin of an elephant and a horse's mane. That's why he doesn't notice that his colleague Lene Kristiansen, the newspaper's mailbox aunt, has been quietly adoring him for a long time. The whole thing revolves around a very topical problem: an apartment. In order to get him a nice apartment, Lene marries Bastian, but only "pro forma", in order to enable him to enjoy an apartment for married couples with or "on the go" offspring. Then both wanted to get a divorce.

To complicate matters, the delightful secretary of a deep-sea biologist and a civil servant from the housing office get involved. The latter then determines that at least two children are “necessary” for the rooms that have been preserved. But that is too much for Bastian, he cannot do that to Lene.

Both split up and Bastian then realizes that he loves Lene after all, which of course only leaves one conclusion: The two stay together.

criticism

The Protestant film observer judges: “An attempt is being made to translate the old film grotesque into the modern, which is only partially successful. Possible for everyone, but not recommended. ”The Lexicon of International Films takes a similar view . It draws the following conclusion: "Danish comedy that strives for a lot of situational comedy, nice and entertaining."
