Life

He played on stage as a child. After graduating from Andhra University , he first worked in the theater as an actor and author. In the 1960s he went to Madras to earn his living in the film industry, where he was assistant to the film writers S. Bhavanarayana and P. Padmaraju . For his directorial debut Tata Manavadu (1972) he also wrote the script and dialogues. He was able to fall back on experienced actors such as SV Ranga Rao , G. Venkateshwara Rao and Anjali Devi . In addition to melodramatic films, he has created numerous comedies with the Telugu stars Krishnamraju and Mohan Babu . In 1981 he filmed his autobiography with Addala Meda and played himself in it. His 1982 film Megha Sandesam with A. Nageswara Rao in the lead role of a married poet who falls in love with a courtesan is his best-known Telugu film outside of Andhra Pradesh . It has been shown at several film festivals, such as the “Indian Panorama” of the 9th India International Film Festival , the Tashkent Film Festival and the Moscow Film Festival .
