The rare and little known Dasylirion berlandieri is a member of the Glaucophyllum section . It is common in northeast Mexico. The thin, variable, waxy bluish leaves that cover the short stem are typical. Due to the different conditions at the various locations, deviations in the appearance can be seen. It is similar to Dasylirion palaciosii , but has an overall narrower inflorescence.
