Harry Smith (born August 2, 1985 in Calgary , Alberta ), better known under the ring name David Hart Smith , is a Canadian wrestler .

Harry Smith is the son of the late Davey Boy Smith , who was also active in wrestling as the British Bulldog .

Career

Beginnings

Smith started wrestling at the age of eight. At the time, he was trained by his father, Davey Boy Smith, and his uncle, Bruce Hart. In May 2002 he formed a team with his father. Shortly afterwards, he died. In the summer of 2004, he was offered a contract with the WWE, but he decided to go to college first. In the same year he formed the "Stampede Bulldogs" with TJ Wilson , based on the "British Bulldogs", the team in which Smith's father worked. A little later he founded the Hart Foundation Version 2.0 with Wilson, Jack Evans and Teddy Hart .

New Japan Pro Wrestling

In January 2005 Smith completed a five-week tour in Japan where he worked for New Japan Pro Wrestling . In Japan he was now known by his ring name Black Assassin . Smith broke his hand while on tour. He later played dark matches at WWE , then toured Japan again. In October 2005 he returned to Stampede Wrestling .
