David-Lee Paton (born May 16, 1985 in Hanover ) is a German - British ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with the Königsborner JEC in the ice hockey league since 2010 .

Career

David-Lee Paton came from a Welsh family from Cardiff . He was born in Hanover in 1985 while his father was doing military service. At the age of five he started ice hockey and played for the ice hockey clubs Herford EG , EHC Unna and EC Bergkamen . At the age of twelve his father was stationed in Iserlohn , so that Paton switched to the offspring of the Iserlohner EC . After four years at the club he was used as a substitute goalkeeper for the Iserlohn Roosters in the DEL in the 2002/03 season . He learned a lot from the goalkeeper at the time, Jimmy Waite . In 2005 he decided to move to the Revierlöwen Oberhausen , before he was signed by the Red Devils Bad Nauheim in 2006 .

In Bad Nauheim , Paton continued to develop and was the goalkeeper of the "Red Devils" in the 2007/08 season . After he had played a personally successful season, he was committed in summer 2008 by the second division promoted Dresdner Eislöwen . As part of a cooperation, he was also equipped with a production license for the Hamburg Freezers , but was not used for a DEL. For Dresden he played in the 2nd Bundesliga only three times in the 2008/09 season , so that he joined the Young Lions Frankfurt from the regional ice hockey league for the 2009/10 season. In the 2010/11 season he ran for the Königsborner JEC in the major league.
