David Davis Camara (born October 25, 1976 in Santa Maria de Palautordera , Spain ) is a former Spanish handball player of equatorial Guinean descent. The right-hander was used in the attack on the left wing and in a 5-1 cover in the advanced defensive position. He ended his career after the 2012/13 season. Shortly afterwards he was reactivated for a few games by the Portuguese club FC Porto . In March 2014 he became the new assistant coach of the Macedonian club RK Vardar Skopje . In February 2016, Davis moved to the women's team ŽRK Vardar SCBT , where he was also active as an assistant coach. In November 2016 he took over as coach from ŽRK Vardar SCBT. In March 2017 he ended his work as a coach of the women's team and returned to the men's team in Vardar as an assistant coach. In May 2018, it was announced that Davis would take over as coach of the Egyptian national team . Davis has been coaching the Hungarian club KC Veszprém since October 2018 . In order to concentrate on his work as a club coach, he ended his work as Egyptian national coach in May 2019. Under his leadership, Veszprém won the Hungarian championship in 2019.
Davis has played 93 international matches for Spain , scoring 132 goals.
