David Hollwitz (born March 20, 1989 in Luckenwalde ) is a German soccer player who is under contract with SV Lichtenberg 47 .

Career

Hollwitz, who was born and raised in Luckenwalde (south of Berlin), started playing football at the age of six at VfB Trebbin , which is based in the neighboring town of Trebbin . After six years he joined 1. FC Union Berlin . From 2001 to 2008 he went through the youth teams of the capital city club and in 2008 rose to the U-19 Bundesliga with the U19s (including his current teammate Steven Jahn ) . In the following season he belonged to the squad of the first men's team playing in the third division and made his professional football debut on the third day of the game when he was substituted on in stoppage time against Kickers Offenbach . Overall, Hollwitz, who plays in the central defensive midfield, came to four short appearances in the 2008/09 season , at the end of which was the championship and thus promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga .

Hollwitz was not used in the second division. Instead, he was mainly used in the reserve team in the Berlin League , with which he was promoted to the Oberliga Nordost . Union II reached fifth place there in the 2010/11 season . Hollwitz was one of the regulars and played 27 out of 30 possible games. For the 2011/12 season he moved to SV Babelsberg 03 in the 3rd league, where he made ten short appearances. In summer 2012 he returned to 1. FC Union. In 2015 he switched to regional league club FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin . After two years in the Regionalliga Nordost with the former champions FC Viktoria Berlin , Hollwitz signed for two years with SV Lichtenberg 47 in the Oberliga Nordost .

David Hollwitz works full-time as a tax clerk.
