David Watson (born April 30, 1983 ) is a former South African ice hockey player who played for various clubs from Johannesburg in the Gauteng Province Ice Hockey League .

Career

David Watson began his career with the Crows. Since 2002 he played with the Johannisburg Scorpions in the Gauteng Province Ice Hockey League , one of the regional leagues whose winners play the South African national championship title. In 2014 and 2015 he was on the ice at local rivals Johannesburg Wildcats . Then he ended his career.

International

Watson was initially on the ice in the Europe Division II of the U18 World Cup in 2000 for South Africa. This was followed by assignments at the U18 World Championships in 2001 and the U20 World Championships in 2001 and 2002 in Division III.

With the men's national team he took part in the world championships of Division II in 2004 , 2009 , 2012 , 2014 and 2015 as well as Division III in 2008 , 2010 , 2011 and 2013 , when he was named the best player of his team.
