Davide Dato (born August 20, 1990 in Biella , Piedmont , Italy ) is an Italian ballet dancer .

Life

With his younger sister Greta, Dato first tried salsa rhythm or as a breakdancer . They both attended the dance school and qualified in Salsa , Merengue and Mambo , and have already won the Italian championship three years in a row. Dato then switched to the ballet school in Milan . After studying there with Ludmill Cakalli, Dato completed training at the ballet school of the Vienna State Opera from 2005 to 2008 (Matura 2008 at BG & BRG Boerhaavegasse , Vienna). In the 2008/09 season he was a member of the theater class of the ballet school of the Vienna State Opera. In September 2009 he became a member of the ballet of the State Opera and Volksoper and was a semi-soloist from 2011. He performed as a soloist at the New Years Concerts 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016 and 2017 as well as in Rome. From 2013 he became a solo dancer of the Vienna State Ballet. Dato has been one of the troupe's first solo dancers since May 26, 2016.

After a one-year break due to injury, Dato performed on June 29, 2018 at the Nureyev Gala in a ballet choreographed especially for him based on Edward Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite on the stage of the Vienna State Opera.

Dato has made guest appearances in numerous European countries and in America. He was used several times for commercials.

In October 2018, the film came Insane Love of Eitan Pitigliani out in the Dato took over the role of the lover.
